  FELICITATION TO DR. R.K. DAS  
 

There are few successful physicians who have succeeded as sportsman, Administrator, Teacher and Organiser as well. Prof. R. K. Das was one amongst them.

Born in 1937, Dr. Das completed his early education, medical graduation and post-graduation from Cuttack only. He was a popular teacher, who ruled the minds and hearts of his students for more than three decades at all three medical colleges of the State.

 

  
 

He was a successful sportsman, who not only played football and cricket, but represented Cuttack Combined and Utkal University in football and atheletics during his student days and was college sports champion and first recepient of Biswambar Nanda Memorial all rounder cup in 1957.

 
 

Not only that he is a life member of National API for last 40 years and was a part of organization during 38th National APICON at Cuttack in 1982 but also a part of formation of State API in 1980, where he has served as Hon. Secy, in 1985 and chairman in 1995 and organized 9th State APICON at Cuttack in 1988.

 
 

An erudite scholar, clinician par excellance, adorable teacher, able administrator and sportsman, he has proved his genius from playgrounds to classrooms from hospitals to conference.

 
  We salute this father figure of physicians of the State.
